Two new interns join the Zalul team!

April 20, 2009

Becky Segal and Jackie Goldberg began working as interns for Zalul this April 2009!  They are both participants on a Jewish Agency program called OTZMA, a 10-month service-oriented, leadership development program that combines volunteering and interning.  For the next 9 weeks, Becky and Jackie will be assisting the Zalul staff with various projects.

Becky graduated from Towson University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and a concentration in Public Relations. After graduating, she worked as the Administrative Assistant in the Events and Developments departments for Foundation Fighting Blindness in Baltimore, Maryland. Since coming to Israel in September, 2008 Becky has lived in Natzrat Illit and Netivot volunteering as an English teacher and working with underprivileged children. She is now living in Tel Aviv and is very excited to be working at Zalul! Jackie graduated from Lehigh University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psycholgy with a minor in Spanish.  Her first internship in college was for an energy conservation organization, which prompted a great personal interest in the environment.  Since then she has worked for multiple companies that place a large emphasis on the importance of being “green.”  Jackie currently resides in Tel Aviv and is looking forward to her time with Zalul.
