How green is the Red-Dead/Peace Valley plan?

We’ve been following closely the growing discussion on the the Red-Dead Canal/Conduit or as it is also known the Peace Canal/Conduit. We reported to you about the World Bank Public Hearing last August and now the buzz is even bigger with Shimon Peres getting the support of leading businessmen to build what they call “Peace Valley” as part of the Tshuva plan. The fascinating video presentation can be seen here.

The World Bank study is far from being completed (it will be released approximately two years from now) and very little is known about what kind of impact the project will have on the environment. We’re curious, what do you think of this plan?
