Your footprint.

July 9, 2007

What is your ecological footprint?

If you are an average Israeli, it’s probably somewhere around 46 dunams (11.36 acres). For Americans, it’s even larger at around 96 dunams (23.72 acres). From India? Your footprint is probably closer to 8 dunams (1.97 acres).

According to this Haaretz article: For Israel to sustain itself, it needs to be 10 times larger than it actually is.

Take the ecological footprint quiz for yourself, here.
