Rescuing the Na’aman River

The Na’aman River, near Akko in Northern Israel, is among the country’s most polluted - the result of routine sewage dumps by surrounding villages, municipalities and factories. Zalul’s campaign led the Akko Municipality and several area industries to build new sewage treatment facilities. Zalul continues to monitor the area’s rehabilitation.
